Ruby A. Prideaux was the third eldest child born to George and Gertrude Sykes. She was reared and received her secular education in the city of Baltimore Maryland. For over 39 years she was the devoted wife of the late Varner Prideaux. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. 

Pastor Prideaux accepted Christ in her life during the year of 1972 under the tutelage of the late Bishop Lois C. Grant. Early in her salvation, the Lord placed a thirst and hunger within her soul to know Him. She would share her love for the Word over the early years teaching with power and conviction. In 1979 she responded to the call of God to ministry and preached her trial sermon.

Possessing a strong desire to study God’s Word, Pastor Prideaux matriculated at several institutes of religious study: Arlington Bible Institute & College; Charles Harrison Mason Bible College; and the Family Bible College & Seminary. While at the Family Bible College & Seminary Pastor Prideaux achieved a Bachelor of Theology, Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree. 

In February 1993, through the move of God’s Spirit, Pastor Prideaux founded the ministry of Blessed Trinity Church of Deliverance in Baltimore, Maryland. Through the life of this servant many lives have been touched. Pastor Prideaux believed that if men and women are taught the principles of God’s Word they can live a victorious life for Christ.

Pastor Prideaux accomplished much throughout her life. She overcame tremendous obstacles to complete her educational training culminating in her doctorate degree. One of the greatest accomplishments was founding a church, establishing it, and building a church building from the ground. The mortgage was paid off in 8 years.

Pastor Ruby Prideaux was truly a gift to the body of Christ who had come to the kingdom of God at her appointed time to build souls dedicated to the King and his kingdom. On Tuesday, August 9, 2011, our beloved pastor, Dr. Ruby Prideaux answered the call and went home to be with the Lord. Blessed Trinity Church of Deliverance continues the legacy and vision of the founding Pastor, by bringing God His people.
